Born in Florida, but grew up in New York, to parents: the late Dr. Andre and Katly Celestin. Dr. Marjorie Bélizaire is a 5th generation Seventh-day Adventist, an accomplished physician and educator that has made it her life’s goal to encourage others via all dimensions of health. She believes in using the unique health message to help win souls for the kingdom. Dr. Bélizaire got her undergradaute degree in Biology from St. John’s University, where she entered college at the young age of 16 graduating with a major in biology and a minor in theology. She then went to Hofstra University on a full scholarship where she graduated summa cum laude with her master of science degree with distinctions with a major of biology and health education. Leaving NY she decided to go to medical school at her father’s alma mater in Nashville, TN where she graduated with her doctor of medicine degree. She’s passionate about women’s health and has made it a mission of hers. In addition to being a physician, Dr. Bélizaire has been an educator for more than 14 years in the graduate and medical school worlds as a professor of numerous courses stemming from epidemiology to immunology to medical terminology to principles of community health, just to name a few. For more than 15 years, Dr. Bélizaire has worked as a physician, educator, speaker and musician. She intertwines her unique perspective of watching and educating others through the prism of an educator as well as a clinician, focusing on the whole aspect of a person. The idea of intermixing all aspects of health can only be to the betterment of the whole individual which will ultimately positively affect the community at large. This she believes will help effectively evangelize.
Dr. Bélizaire is a well - sought out speaker and she has spoken in countless hopsitals, medical schools, universities, churches and communities on a plethora of topics. Here she enjoys telling others about our God. Telling others the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can only improve one’s quality of life as it is truly the best medicine! She is currently the Health Ministries/health evangelism director for the Arkansas - Louisiana Conference of Seventh day Adventists, where she is in charge of overseeing the health needs and activities for over 116 churches throughout the territory.
Dr. Bélizaire has been a pastor’s wife for almost 10 years. In addition to being married to the love of her life, an ordained pastor: Pastor Virgo Bélizaire, she is also the mother of three children: André Emmanuel, Amélie Elise and Alain Élie, the youngest just two years old. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, singing, reading and playing the piano.
Dr. Bélizaire aspires to have a tripartite role of: loving mother and wife, caring friend/counselor and a God-fearing health ministries and health evangelism director simultaneously. Dr. Bélizaire’s motto is : I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and with Christ success is sure!
