About Us

It shall be the purpose of this organization to promote awareness of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology via the professional organization American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). This organization is available to all LSU graduate students in Communication Disorders in hopes of bringing students and faculty together through social activities, educational events, and fundraisers. The purpose of the local graduate NSSLHA organization shall be the following: 1. To encourage and promote professional interest among college and university students in the study of human communication sciences and disorders; 2. To provide continuity to the dissemination of professional information; 3. To provide a vehicle for student representation in matters of professional and academic concern.
