Students will come together to write personal and uplifting letters to people who are currently incarcerated. This event aims to provide connection and support to those who often face isolation, as many incarcerated individuals receive little or no regular mail. Participants will be guided with sample writing prompts and a brief explanation of the importance of outreach and empathy in addressing the human side of incarceration.

To support this effort, we will partner with national organizations such as Black & Pink, Solitary Watch, or Lifelines to Solitary to ensure the letters reach those in need. Supplies like note cards, colorful pens, markers, stickers, envelopes, and stamps will be provided to help participants craft thoughtful and creative messages. This event offers a meaningful way for students to engage in social justice and build solidarity with incarcerated communities.
