About Us
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) at Louisiana State University is an organization committed to representing Muslim students at LSU and creating a community for them to be able to socialize and learn more about the religion. MSA activities include hosting social events, meetings, and spiritual talks for its members.  The MSA's constituency is comprised of a diverse group of students and we welcome all members, whether Muslim or not. MSA hold meetings once a month, which are composed of club updates and Halaqas (Islamic Talks) that have a particular curriculum specific to the time of year. We have guest speakers that come educate the club members of chosen Islamic topics. In addition, we have open table discussions about Islam, whether it be addressing questions, doubts, intriguing ideology, difficulties, and joys. MSA holds 3 social events and 3 community service events per year. The goal of the social events is to provide a way for members to interact with one another and get to know each other (i.e field day). Community service events are a way for us to show gratitude towards the community and give back with the resources we have. As MSA members, we take pride in our beliefs, respect of beliefs and individuals, and love for our community. Requirements for Active Membership: -Membership Fee paid through CheddarUp -Must Attend 1 Meeting and 2 Events (Community Service/Social Event)
