Updates & Events from the Pre-Law Society

Eowyn Dautrich - Wednesday, September 18, 2024
 General   Events

Last week, our Kaplan LSAT event was canceled due to Hurricane Francine. We are actively working to reschedule by coordinating with a Kaplan representative. Please keep an eye on Tigerlink, GroupMe, and your LSU email for updates on upcoming events. If you haven’t joined our GroupMe yet, you can do so by following this link: GroupMe Link.

As a reminder, active member dues and hazing certificates are both due by October 1st. The active member dues are $35 for the entire semester, covering both Fall and Spring. The hazing certificate, which is required by all LSU organizations, can be found here. Once on the Student Affairs page, click “Take the Prevention Course,” and it will be the first option at the top. To submit your hazing certificate completion, please use this form: Submission Form.

Don’t forget to check out our upcoming event and the executive board member spotlight!

Board Game Night!

Join the Pre-Law Society at LSU for an exciting evening of fun, laughter, and friendly competition! We’ll have games for everyone, featuring both strategy and non-strategy options. Don’t miss this chance to unwind, meet like-minded peers, and showcase your gaming skills. Mark your calendar for a fantastic night of games and connecting with fellow members! Both active and general members are invited. The event will be held in Coates 214, and we’ll keep you updated if there are any changes to the room. We can’t wait to see you there!

Executive Board Member Spotlight

This week, we’re highlighting Abdullah, our dedicated Finance Director. During Hurricane Francine, he answered the call to serve in the Coast Guard, providing crucial support to communities across Louisiana during their time of need. His commitment and long hours reflect the honor and dedication he brings to his role.

Abdullah is majoring in International Studies with a concentration in Global Diplomacy and is currently on the 3+3 Pre-Law track, although he’s considering a change. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is an active member of the LSU wrestling and rugby teams and participates in student government. In his free time, Abdullah focuses on self-improvement, work, and enjoying quality time with friends.
