Mission For more information on joining our organization, please visit our Instagram profile and view the "Join" story highlight. If you do not have an Instagram account, please message an organization officer on Tigerlink! The Kollective is established to embrace the diversity of natural hair styles and textures. We dedicate ourselves to creating a comfortable and inclusive space where conversations surrounding natural and protective styles are celebrated. At The Kollective, members can feel free to reflect and connect with others as they discuss their hair journey. We place a significant emphasis on encouraging our members to not view their hair as an obstacle, but rather as a way to exude self-confidence. We aim to empower, educate, and unify through our common fabric, our hair! The mission of The Kollective is to proudly address the challenges and deep-rooted myths about beauty, the "collective" fear around acceptance, as well as the struggle for self-acceptance. With this mission, The Kollective strives to fulfill LSU's mission to "solve economic, environmental, and social challenges through the application of knowledge and the cultivation of arts".
