UNAs at LSU Visiting Scholar Application 2022
The Louisiana State University Agricultural Center (LSU AgCenter) and UNAs at LSU Association have developed a visiting scholars program for students of the Universidad Nacional de Agricultura (UNAG), Honduras. The program aims to strengthen partnerships and cooperation between the LSU AgCenter and UNAG. The LSU AgCenter gives UNAG students and graduates an opportunity to gain international experience in agricultural research and pursue post-graduate education at LSU. This program is supported by UNAs at LSU Association.
This program will designate an LSU AgCenter faculty member to students or graduates to research in a specific area of interest. The selected visiting scholar will receive a total stipend of $1,500.00 US dollars per month for living expenses in the U.S. The students or interns are responsible for the cost of health insurance, visa/SEVIS fees, and flight tickets. Students are also responsible for expenses incurred at the beginning of the program until the first paycheck is received.
Interested candidates need to complete this application form, upload a scan of their transcripts, a copy of their CV, and a personal statement (all in English). The selected candidates will be invited to interview in English. The final nominations and complete applications will be sent to the LSU AgCenter faculty for their approval.
