LASO's Quinceanera

This event will increase appreciation of Latin American cultural elements of the tradition of the Quinceanera, or coming-of-age party. This cotillion style event will invite the entire campus community to learn about the background of the history of the tradition, witness the traditional performances, experience dance lessons, and sample traditional Hispanic food. For students in Spanish Language courses, provide experiential learning so students make connections between their classes and the culture. This event also will recognize the Latin American Student Organization's 15th year on campus.
