Subject: Weekly Update from the Pre-Law Society at LSU

Last week, we hosted our board game night on Thursday, and it was a great success! Many members enjoyed a fun, competitive atmosphere while getting to know each other better. Stay tuned for more events coming in the following weeks! Our next general meeting for October will be voted on and scheduled by the executive board in their upcoming session on Tuesday. Be sure to check all our platforms for updates on meetings, events, and opportunities!

This week, hazing certificates and active member dues are due by October 1st at 11:59 PM. If you’re having trouble completing the hazing certificate or affording the dues, please reach out to us—we’re here to help ensure you get everything taken care of. The hazing certificates are required for both general and active members per LSU policy. If these are not completed, you will be ineligible to participate in any campus groups on campus.

As we prepare for October, we have several exciting events planned for our general and active members, including volunteering at the food pantry, the rescheduled Kaplan event, and "Are You Smarter Than a Law Student and/or Professor." We’ll also be hosting our first active member-only event soon! Our events and planning directors are working hard to create great experiences for everyone, so be on the lookout for updates. We’ll keep you informed about upcoming events each week. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

LSAT BOOK DRIVE LAST DAY OCT. 2ND!

The LSAT Book Drive is a volunteer opportunity ending on October 2nd. If you have already taken the LSAT and want to donate your books, please drop them off at LSU's Women’s Center. Each book donated earns you two volunteer points. This is a fantastic way to support fellow members of society who have not yet taken the LSAT by providing them with valuable resources.

The LSAT books can be used, new, or old, as long as they are in good condition and can help another member. All donations are welcome!

Executive Board Member Spotlight

George Griffin serves as LSU's Vice President of Administration for the Pre-Law Society. Still, his involvement doesn’t stop there—he's actively engaged in various executive boards across campus. A junior majoring in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Criminology, George is also a member of the Honors College. In addition to his role in the Pre-Law Society, he holds leadership positions as the Vice President of the Residential Hall Association and the Humanities and Social Sciences College, as well as the Program and Events Director for The LSAT Collective. He is dedicating significant effort to his honors thesis, which will focus on the intersection of race and psychology.
