About Us

The general purpose of CMST GSA is to improve and enhance the experiences of graduate students working and learning in the LSU Department of Communication Studies (LSU CMST), especially those who LSU and CMST has historically and continues to marginalize. Specifically, CMST GSA seeks to address issues related to the dual roles its members occupy as students and employees within the department and to facilitate members' relevant professional development and intentional social support. CMST GSA is dedicated to achieving all of these goals through advocacy, social action, and mentorship.
