The Advisory Council for power based violence is made up of students who have a special knowledge of LSU's Title IX office and system. We assist the Title IX office by giving a student perspective on how to build trust and confidence between the students and the administration. The Advisory Council for Power Based Violence is a student advisory organization for the LSU Office of Civil Rights & Title IX (www.lsu.edu/civil-rights).

The Association of Religious Studies Students (ARSS) is determined to maximize the potential of the university's Religious Studies program by creating an active network of religious studies students (and any students interested in religious studies), the religious studies faculty, and the greater LSU community. ARSS strives to promote students' interests in the history, development, and application of religious studies, and to create community among our student body. ARSS is open to all majors and minors in the department, as well as any LSU student who is interested in planning and participating in events outside the classroom.

The Black Faculty and Staff Caucus (BFSC) at Louisiana State University has an established reputation of more than 30 years at the University.

The purpose of the Caucus is twofold: (1) to serve the special needs of LSU African-American employees by promoting understanding of African-American concerns and providing assistance, education and social interaction for the LSU faculty and staff; (2) and to provide African-American employees and students a proactive organization capable of investigating complaints, addressing problems and working alongside University administration to facilitate resolution.

The HopKins Black Box (HBB) is a not-for-profit experimental theatre and performance lab classroom managed by the Performance Studies area in the Department of Communication Studies at LSU. Established by Dr. Mary Frances HopKins in 1992, the space is dedicated to providing students and faculty with a place to ask questions, unimpeded and with passion, through the practice of live performance.

The HBB plays host to a full slate of undergraduate and graduate courses in performance studies as well as an annual season of public performances. Our course curriculum addresses four main trajectories in performance studies: everyday life and cultural performance, stage adaptations of texts and other materials, the avant-garde and performance art, and the history, theory, and practice of film and video.

Our public performances range from informal workshop presentations, to performance showcases highlighting classroom work, to multi-media installations, to fully staged scripts written or adapted by the performer or director, to academic and professional artists/scholars in residence.

The International Cultural Center is an event space open to the campus and community to rent. The ICC is available for use at almost no cost to international student groups, which sponsor many social and cultural events each semester.  In scheduling for use of the ICC, precedence is given to international student organizations. Other registered student organizations, official LSU functions, international students individually, and the outside community may use the facility for fees on a graduated scale. Only members that complete the required training will be considered "certified" to volunteer, and only certified volunteers will be able to sign up for volunteer shifts in the LSU Food Pantry.

The LSU Graduate School, with more than 120 degree programs, offers more extended and comprehensive programs than any other educational institution in Louisiana. LSU's Graduate School was established because the university recognized its obligation to provide an environment for research and inquiry and to make the results of these activities available to the public. As the state's center of academic research and advanced studies, the Graduate School administers a more extensive and comprehensive program than any other educational institution in Louisiana.

LSU offers doctoral programs in over 50 major fields of study. These programs offer opportunities for advanced training and research in all areas of the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Master's degree programs are offered in over 70 major fields. These range from Master of Fine Arts degrees in fields such as creative writing, studio art, and theatre, to professional degree programs in social work, business administration, and library and information science. The National Academies Gulf Scholars Program (GSP) aims to prepare undergraduate students from any major to address challenges and issues facing the gulf south region.
