Graduate Student Appreciation Week is a Graduate School–led initiative, in collaboration with the Graduate Student Association, designed to recognize, celebrate, and uplift LSU graduate students for their academic contributions, leadership, and resilience. The signature social event, Neon on Bourbon, provides an engaging, Louisiana-inspired experience that fosters community, relaxation, and peer connection in an inclusive and celebratory environment. This event aims to:
• Celebrate graduate students and their contributions to LSU
• Foster social connection and cross-disciplinary engagement
• Create a culturally relevant, Louisiana-inspired experience
• Provide an accessible, low-pressure space for graduate students to unwind and connect
