Geaux Rhetoric Speaker Series

As a follow up to our 2020 Geaux Rhetoric Speaker Series, the RSA@LSU chapter is planning a conference to promote rhetorical studies across LSU's campus and the gulf south. The conference is being planned and executed primarily by CMST graduate students and faculty. This year's Geaux Rhetoric Speaker Series will center critical discussions about the University, to delve deeper into neoliberalism in higher education, anti-union movements, and the growing precarity of tenured positions in higher education academic institutions.

We will host a virtual, two-day event on December 2-3, 2021, in which we will welcome our keynote speaker on December 2nd and host a panel discussion on December 3rd. Our invited speakers/scholars will consist of independent scholars, faculty members, and recent PhD graduates.
