About Us

LSU Karate is open to anyone who wishes to train and learn more about karate. We are a traditional Shotokan dojo affiliated to the JKA/AF. No prior martial arts experience is required.

In martial arts, especially karate, we stress the importance of control at all times to ensure a safe training environment for everyone. There has never been any kind of serious injury in our dojo. Our instructors are 4th and 2nd degree black-belts with over 10 years of experience each. Discipline and diligence are what we strive for in Karate. We understand that each individual progresses at a different pace. The only thing we ask for is your commitment during practice.
