About Us

IEEE LSU is the student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional society dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Members of IEEE come from a variety of majors such as electrical and computer engineering, computer science, and other technology focused majors in STEM. Subjects of interest to IEEE members have included areas ranging from computers and robotics, energy and biomedical technology, to transportation and consumer electronics. IEEE LSU participates in competitions, company recruitment, informational presentations, and community outreach programs. Students can benefit from getting involved in IEEE by being able to network with professionals, being made aware of scholarships, research programs, internships, employment opportunities and career advancement programs such as CxC, and skill enhancement through IEEE activities such as safety and technology seminars. We invite you to join LSU IEEE to help advance your career!
