Housed in the Department of Communication Studies, the LSU Speech and Debate Team advances Louisiana State University’s commitment to student success, experiential learning, and civic leadership through participation in collegiate speech and debate competitions at the regional and national levels. By traveling, competing, and engaging with the campus community, members of the LSU Speech and Debate Team serve as ambassadors of the University, representing Louisiana State University with excellence and professionalism.
