The National Council Negro Women (NCNW) is an "organization of organizations," comprised of 330 campus and community-based sections and 33 national women's organizations that enlightens, inspires, and connects more than 2,000,000 women and men. Its mission is to lead, advocate for, and empower women of African descent, their families, and communities. It was founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, an influential educator and activist, and for more than fifty years, the iconic Dr. Dorothy Height was president of NCNW.

Acacia is unique among men's college fraternities. With a Greek word for our name instead of the typical two to three Greek letters found in other organizations, Acacia offers a membership experience similarly that is unique.

Acacia Fraternity was re-founded in the Fall of 2018. Since originally chartering at Louisiana State University in 1956, over 1,700 men have joined their ranks in pursuit of Virtue, Knowledge, & Truth. The LSU Advertising Federation (AdFed) is a student organization on LSU's campus modeled after the professional American Advertising Federation (AAF). Like the AAF, our primary mission is "to protect and promote the well-being of advertising."

LSU AdFed accomplishes this by providing guest speakers, conferences, and agency tours to help students gain a better understanding of the industry, as well as to develop ideas for creative advertising solutions and trends. Its founding took place on May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia – the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Alpha Delta Pi's open motto is, "We Live For Each Other," leading us to support each other in every aspect of our lives. Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) at Louisiana State University is a pre-professional health honor society dedicated to pre-medical students. AED seeks to guide and support pre-medical students on their journey to becoming medical professionals. In addition to providing students with the keys to success during both undergraduate and professional schooling, we offer many volunteer opportunities to serve those most vulnerable in our Baton Rouge community.

AED holds meetings every two weeks, where we expose students to different aspects of the medical field. At each meeting, guest speakers join us from across the state to share why they pursued medicine and share advice on how to be a successful medical professional. These speakers include medical students, residents, and physicians of numerous specialties, including orthopedic surgery, gastroenterology, psychiatry, cardiology, pediatrics, dermatology, infectious diseases, and more. Moreover, our members can meet and network with the Deans from LSU New Orleans and LSU Shreveport medical schools at our Dean's Convocation. The deans detail their respective schools and what they look for in applicants, followed by a question and answer session. We also host a Mock Interview with one of the Deans to provide our students with a glimpse into what the medical school interview is like. Additionally, we host a meeting with LSU's Pre-Medical Review Committee, a very important resource for those students looking to apply to medical school. While we strive to expose our members to many aspects of the medical field, we also emphasize the importance of service within our organization; we equip our members with plenty of service opportunities at local hospitals, nursing homes, cancer services centers, youth organizations, public schools, and many more!

Although Louisiana State University provides Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design as fields of study, the College of Art and Design students, in their respective disciplines, do not interact with each other outside of an academic environment. As architecture students, we find that communicating with other art and design students proves difficult because we share no common classes or programs. Our vision for Alpha Rho Chi on Louisiana State University’s campus is to become the connecting factor among the allied arts, which will ultimately promote a prominent studious environment within the college of Art and Design.

We believe that if a student’s knowledge is limited to only his or her respective major, he or she is missing vital networking opportunities, information, and most importantly, comprehension of design as wholistic approach. In order to share ideas and common interests, networking and inter-disciplinary learning both play a vital in the art and design community. Our organizing committee believes that Alpha Rho Chi will offer LSU Art and Design students an opportunity to meet over common interests, such as the professional field, appreciation for the arts, and a further understanding of the built environment.
